Segment Note Title - space for entering the title of the note. Tapping the "Title" label will open the Segment Note template list floater and allow for the selection of note tempate(s) for entry into the patient record. The template list floater also allows for the entry of new segment note templates Date - records the date of the note Segment List Control buttons - The Add Segment button adds a new segment to the end of the segment list. The Show Note button shows the entire note as it will appear when printed. Route the note, including print, fax, beam, and mail next/previous - jump to the next/previous note in the patient's note "list" with the same title as this one Segment List The list item check box allows for multiple segments to be selected for an action. When items are selected, tap the list's router envelope to select an action (e.g., Delete) The segment title is tappable to allow for editing of a particular segment within the Segment Note Edit window Special symbols appear in some list items to allow for rapid access to special functions. For example, segments with macros in them have a pencil icon appear in the list item to allow the user to "run" the macros from the list; Transcriptionist™ note segments have an icon appear which can be tapped to open Transcriptionist™. Up and Down arrows allow for each segment to individually be moved within the segment list. Segment Note Edit Segment - space for entering the title of the segment. The "Segment" label is an editable popup. entry area for note data, including text, shapes, sketches, handwriting, etc. The arrows to the right of the view scroll the data if it does not fit on one screen macro writer - Tapping this icon button pops up a list of all available "macros" for text entry. Macros are added to the program by plug-ins and include things like: current problem list, current medications, past medical history, most recent vital signs, just to name a very few An icon button may appear to the right of the segment title if this segment is "special". The icon found here correlates with the icon found in column 3 of the Segment List. Segment Note Template Editor The Type label in the template editor tells Palmedic how to process this particular segment. It will load a note from a previous segment note, or perform macros automatically versus only when instructed to by the user.
