Settings for Charge Capture can be found in the Settings application of the iPhone itself.
Rounding
• Days until round deleted
The number of days after which a rounding item is automatically deleted. Default is '30' which means all rounding items greater than 30 days old will automatically be deleted.
• Delete post discharge
Setting this to 'ON' causes the application to automatically delete any rounding item that exists on a date after a discharge rounding item is entered. This takes care of any aberrantly auto-created rounding items that exist past a date of discharge. Default is set to 'ON'.
• Auto add Today
Setting this to 'ON' allows the Rounding section to auto enter a new item for a patient/facility for today when no such item exists. Default is set to 'ON'.
• Auto add pre Today
Setting this to 'ON' allows the Rounding section to auto enter new items for a patient/facility between the last entered item and today. For example, if an entry is made on a patient on Monday, and the Rounding section is not selected again until Thursday, items will be auto entered for Tuesday and Wednesday. Note that this will only occur if the Auto add Today preference is set to 'ON'. Default is set to 'ON'.
• Use prev diagnoses
Setting this to 'ON' causes any automatically created rounding item to contain the same diagnoses as the last entered item. For example, if you set diagnoses for a January 12th visit, when the Rounding section auto enters an item for January 13th (or further), the same diagnoses are auto entered for those items. If you then change the diagnoses for the January 13th item, the January 14th auto entered item will contain those newly entered diagnoses. Default is set to 'ON'.
• Use previous notes
Setting this to 'ON' causes any automatically created rounding item to contain the same notes as the last entered item. Same concept as 'Use prev diagnoses' above. Default is set to 'ON'.
• Use auto discharge
Setting this to 'ON' causes the Rounding section of the application to mark the patient as discharged in the rounding list when a 'discharge' CPT code is chosen. This causes no further items to be auto-entered into the rounding list for this patient/facility combination. Default is set to 'ON'.
Encounters
• Days until encounter deleted
The number of days after which an encounter item is automatically deleted. Default is '0' which means encounters are not auto deleted. Set the preference to a number such as '90' so that all encounters older than 90 days are automatically removed from the device.
• Subject
Specify the default subject of an email sent from Charge Capture.
• Message header
Specify the default header for the body of an email message sent from Charge Capture.
• HIPAA warning
Turn 'ON' or 'OFF' the warning regarding email potentially not being HIPAA compliant as sent from Charge Capture.
