March 16, 1998 JRAd consulting, Inc. is pleased to announce the release of a new plug-in for version 2.x of their patient management software, Palmedic. The new Health Maintenance To Do plug-in provides for fast entry and reminder capabilities for commonly needed preventive medicine items. Things like cholesterol screen, Pap smear, mammogram, flu shot, etc. The module allows you to mark the items needed by the patient and to set a date by which they are needed. It also allows the ability to automatically add the items to the patient's procedure list. For example, you had marked that a patient needed a Pap smear and pelvic exam. Once those two are performed, simply tap the "Add to Procedures" button within the module, and the two checked items are added to the patient's procedure list with today's date. The HM ToDo module gives access to the current recommendations for each item so that one knows when each should be performed in a patient's course of care. An additional feature of the plug-in allows for all health maintenance to do items to be automatically entered into a note via Palmedic macros or Transcriptionist demographics. The plug-in is free to registered users of Palmedic 2.x. You are invited to visit the web page describing the plug-in at for further information about its capabilities.
