JRAd consulting, Inc. is pleased to announce the release of version 2.1 of Palmedic, their patient management software for the Newton family of hand-held computers. Palmedic is a feature-rich, easy to use resource for the production and maintainenance of a patient's medical record. Version 2.1 builds upon the successes of version 2.0 by improving plug-in interaction and allowing for individual plug-ins to share resources and conserve precious memory. Multiple bug fixes and plug-in enhancements have gone into this update as well.
The use of a plug-in architecture for data entry and reporting makes Palmedic the most versatile medical information manager on the market. The user may load only the modules they need, including but not limited to medications, problem lists, patient allergies, patient billing, and note creation via templates and macros. Users may also have custom modules created for them or may create their own. Palmedic is distributed with a standard set of plug-ins that make it a complete patient management solution, and new modules are being created all the time. There is no longer the need to model the way you manage your patient information after a particular program. Palmedic may be used to enter and report on a patient's data using your own methods.
Palmedic integrates with the Names application, Dates application, medical reference books (like Lexi-Comp drug reference from K2 consultants), and note writing utilities (notably Transcriptionist from Tactile Systems). With the capability of programmable plug-ins, Palmedic has the ability to communicate with any other program on your Newton- those that exist now, and those that are yet to come.
Features:
"Palmedic truly outshines Virtual Intern, PocketCHART, and all the other programs I have tried. You can become the dominant product in this field..." - John Osborne, MD, MBA
"Palmedic is the ideal patient management solution for house officers. It is an affordable and powerful program which allows for organization and quick, easy access of patient information both on the wards and in the clinic. And the new plug in modules and integration with programs like the Lexicomp drug database make it an even better bargain." - Sean Mullendore, MD
"Again, thank you so much for developing a program that...seems to have unlimited potential!" - Matt Fischer, MD
